London: Upon What Instrument Have We Been Strung?

  • Angela Burgess Recital Hall Marylebone Road London, England, NW1 5HT United Kingdom (map)

Auf welches Instrument sind wir gespannt? Und welcher Geiger hat uns in der Hand?

(Upon what instrument have we been strung?
And what fiddler has us in his hand?)

Exploring the profound words of Rainer Maria Rilke’s ‘Liebeslied,’ Hugh curates an introspective concert that delves into works for cello, piano, and string trio. Inspired by themes of connection, overcoming adversity, memory, and mortality, this intimate performance invites audiences to reflect on the music through the lens of Rilke’s words.
